Data You Give Us Directly
Search Queries
Text entered into an embedded search tool is sent to the outside provider that operates that tool. The provider handles the query and sends back its result under its own practices. This site does not keep or log the search terms entered through the search widget.
Messages and Contact Submissions
If a visitor sends a message through a channel made available by the site, the message may be retained so it can be answered. It is handled within the organization and is not shared with outside parties unless a legal requirement calls for disclosure.
Data We Gather Automatically
When a browser loads a page, routine server logs may record technical details such as:
- The network address used by the device
- Browser name, version, and device platform
- Pages opened and the time spent on them
- The referring site, where one is provided
- The date and time of a page request
Cookies and Analytics
This site uses cookies and analytics tools to understand general traffic patterns, such as which pages are visited and where a browsing session ends. Browser controls can block or remove cookies. Some site functions may respond differently when those controls are enabled.
What We Do With This Data
- Maintain site operation and page performance
- Pass a submitted search to the provider that runs its tool
- Measure which information visitors use
- Diagnose errors and improve the site
- Support advertising that may be tailored to interests
No Warrant Data on File
Pickens County Warrant Records does not host, compile, or sell official warrant files or personal warrant histories. It provides general directions to government offices and public tools; it is not connected to a live warrant system. A county case or warrant record remains with the relevant agency or court. This site is not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act, and visitor data is not assembled into consumer reports about other people.
The state’s traffic ticket locator is a public court tool for some citations, not a warrant database.
Third-Party Search Partners
Search widgets are operated by outside companies. Information typed into one is processed under that operator’s own privacy notice, including its retention and sharing practices. This site does not control how a partner handles submitted data. Review its notice before using the tool.
Links to Other Websites
Pages may link to government agencies, courts, legal resources, or independent search services. Once you leave this site, the destination’s privacy terms apply. Read those terms before providing personal details to another service.
Advertising providers may use their own technology to measure activity across websites and show relevant ads. That processing takes place on their systems under their policies.
For an example of an official record tool, see the South Carolina Judicial Department; its services are operated separately from this website.
Who Might See Your Data
We do not sell personal information. Depending on how a page is used, information may be processed by:
- A search provider receiving text entered in its widget
- Analytics services measuring site traffic
- Advertising networks serving or measuring page ads
- A government authority when a valid legal process requires disclosure
How We Protect Your Data
We use ordinary safeguards intended to protect the information handled by this site. Online transmission and storage cannot be guaranteed completely secure, so no promise can be made that a security incident will never occur.
Users Under 18
This service is intended for adults and does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. The federal Children’s Online Privacy Protection Rule describes protections for children under 13; see the Federal Trade Commission’s COPPA rule information. If a minor’s information is believed to have been submitted, it will be reviewed and removed where appropriate.
Your Data Rights
South Carolina’s Freedom of Information Act concerns access to certain records held by public bodies; it does not establish a personal data-access or deletion right for this private website. The law’s scope appears in S.C. Code Title 30, Chapter 4. Depending on the circumstances and applicable law, a person may ask about information provided directly to the site, seek correction or deletion where available, or adjust browser and advertising preferences. A request is not a guarantee that every record can be changed or erased.
Juvenile court record confidentiality is a separate government-record issue described in S.C. Code Title 63, Chapter 19; it does not govern this site’s ordinary visitor data.
Updates to This Policy
The policy may be revised as the site or its services change. A revised copy will appear here with a new effective date. Review this page periodically to see the terms that apply at that time.
